Bio - Shawn Washburn

Shawn Washburn is the director of AlcheMediArt a creative arts production studio. He co-directed & edited the feature short Break and is currently in pre-production for his next project. Past collaborations with co-director, Keith Oncale, include Off-Broadway productions of Robeson & Circus of Infinite Attractions. In 2009 his paintings of planets were backdrop for the launch of fashion designer David D’Angelo Caldwell’s collection “Return of the Greenpeace Yuppies” hosted by Spin Magazine. He was a participant in the 2002 group show at MoMa, exhibited at the Manhattan Borough Presidents Office and has premiered installations at Tunnel and the US Open. Shawn has created promotional work for Judith Shakespeare Company, Lightning Strikes Theatre and Theatre in the Flesh. He serves on the faculty of Winston Preparatory School and the board of TOAST the Tribeca Open Artist Studio Tour.
